Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus for the 2026–2027 school year.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt

LOCATION: Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA

PAY: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour

HOURS: 7:00 - 8:30 am & 2:45 - 6:00 pm

Position Responsibilities

The Before and After School Program team is responsible for:

  • Assisting with the facilitation of hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities
  • Assisting students with homework
  • Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment
  • Serving as a positive role model for children in the program
  • Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed
  • Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App
  • Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
  • Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13
  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
  • Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
