Operations Manager – Childcare Center

 Location: Gambrills, MD
 Full-Time | On-Site


About Us

Bambini Montessori Academy is a Montessori-based early childhood education center serving children from infancy through age five. We provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports independence, creativity, and growth.

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our daily operations, support our team, and ensure compliance with all MSDE and OCC regulations.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the center, including staffing, enrollment, and licensing compliance

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate teachers and staff

  • Maintain positive, professional communication with families and staff

  • Ensure classrooms align with the Montessori philosophy and meet MSDE standards

  • Oversee health, safety, and record-keeping practices

  • Collaborate on budgeting, program development, and center growth initiatives

  • Implement and improve operational systems for efficiency and quality


Qualifications (per MSDE/OCC requirements)
  • MSDE Director Qualification (required)

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field OR

    • 90-hour Preschool Certification + 45-hour Director/Admin Course + 3 years of child care experience

  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Basic Health & Safety, and 9-Hour Communication Course

  • Must pass a background check and medical clearance

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
