Camp Counselor 
Camp Bow Wow® provides a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! Camp Bow Wow is a premier doggy day care and overnight boarding facility. We are looking to hire fun, energetic people who LOVE dogs!

Job Description: Camp Counselors support daily operations by overseeing the interactive behaviors of day care and overnight campers and maintaining a clean and safe facility.

Full time and Part time shifts available.

Operating hours:
7am  - 7 pm Monday - Saturday 
7 am - 10 am ; 3pm - 7 pm Sunday
Holidays too - as we are open 365 days a year

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Provide all Campers (dogs) with kindness and respect at all times
  • Ensure the safety of all of our Campers by following strict operations policies
  • Manage groups of up to 25 dogs in an open play yard environment
  • Understand the difference between dogs playing and dogs being over stimulated
  • Clean up dog waste in play yards
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary facility
  • More cleaning...yes we do a lot of cleaning!
  • Basic dog grooming, baths, and nail trims
  • Perform enrichment activities with Dogs
  • Standing on your feet all day long - it is a very fast paced, labor-intensive environment
  • Communicate effectively with peers and leadership
  • Always be dependable and on time
  • Multi-tasking abilities is a must and must be able to prioritize
  • Regularly demonstrate sincere concern for the care, attitudes, and behaviors of pets and the relationships they have with their pet parent
  • Demonstrate a positive, fun attitude

Qualifications:
  • MUST LOVE DOGS!
  • No experience required, but previous kennel experience is a plus!
  • Passion for the care of dogs, no fear of dogs
  • Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
  • High school diploma (or working on it) or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to pass a background/criminal check
  • Willing to undergo drug/alcohol testing
  • Fast, motivated learner
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be dependable and punctual– an absolute requirement
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Able to stand/walk for an entire shift
  • Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds
