Laborer Pay Range:

  • $19-$20/hr
  • Paid WEEKLY

Laborer Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Laborer is responsible for assisting all shop and yard personnel whenever needed.
  • Responsible for drilling holes in fabricated steel.
  • Assist in loading material on trucks.
  • Assist the Parts Supervisor with laying out and cutting material.
  • Grind material for fit-up or after welding.
  • Clean material for painting.
  • Responsible for cleaning the shop.
  • Assist fitters in positioning material for tacking.
  • Operate the following equipment; punches, magnetic drills, grinders, and sandblasting equipment.
  • Scrape structural steel for paint preparation.
  • Adhere to all company safety and QA/QC policies and OSHA regulations.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Laborer Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six months' experience or willing to train on the job.

Laborer Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds frequently. 
  • Must be able to climb to unload trucks.  
  • Must be able to work in a dusty and noisy work environment. 
  • May be exposed to temperature fluctuations.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.Â
