Day Habilitation Assistant
Support Our Team. Welcome Our Visitors. Make a Difference Every Day.
Join The Arc Columbia-Saratoga, formerly known as Coarc (Columbia County Arc), as a Day Habilitation Assistant and help support people we support with intellectual and developmental disabilities while ensuring the smooth daily operation of our Day Habilitation program. In this role, you'll combine administrative responsibilities with front desk support, security monitoring, and program coordination to help create a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for people we support, staff, and visitors.
Location: Hudson, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome visitors and serve as the first point of contact for the Day Habilitation program.
  • Monitor building security, including visitor access, lobby activity, and security cameras, to help maintain a safe environment.
  • Coordinate and document the daily arrival and departure of people we support.
  • Monitor agency vehicle sign-outs, maintain vehicle records, and process vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Maintain calendars, schedules, meeting minutes, staff records, and program documentation.
  • Order office, janitorial, and program supplies while maintaining purchase records.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, forms, and other program documents.
  • Assist with general office duties, including answering phones, filing, copying, mail distribution, and record keeping.
  • Communicate professionally with people we support, families, staff, and visitors while supporting the daily operations of the Day Habilitation program.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (TASC)
  • One year of office or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong computer and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Genuine concern and respect for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Valid NYS driver's license required
