Job description

Our client, a major Oil and gas company, is looking for a Data Analyst III to work on a 12 months contract in Spring, TX
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in Power Bi and Spotfire to support operational and performance insights Import, cleanse, validate, and transform datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Analyze trends, correlations, and performance drivers to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Present data in charts, graphs, or tables using visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and continuous improvement teams to understand data needs and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
  • This position would typically include a professional Data Analyst.
  • Expert in the field, possibly professional certification holder.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in Power BI and/or Spotfire for building dashboards, reports and visualizations. Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating datasets
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide clear, actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interface both engineering and operations stakeholders.
  • Experience with Databricks and working knowledge of Python a plus.
  • Experience with Upstream Drilling & Completions datasets a plus
