Job description

A managed pharmacy located in the southeastern corner of Iowa near the Illinois state line is seeking a per diem Staff Pharmacist for full-week coverage from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29. This opportunity supports a pharmacy operating under FQHC/340B guidelines, with traveler candidates pre-approved for placement.
This role operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including a one-hour lunch break. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or community pharmacy settings, including responsibilities such as opening and closing the pharmacy and supervising pharmacy technicians. Prior familiarity with 340B pharmacy programs is highly preferred but not mandatory.
You will be supported by a strong team of pharmacy technicians, utilizing the Datascan system by WinPharm to manage daily pharmacy operations effectively. Iowa licensure is required for this position.
Key Qualifications:

  • Active Iowa pharmacy license
  • Experience in retail or community pharmacy, including supervisory duties
  • Ability to manage pharmacy opening and closing procedures
  • Prior 340B program experience preferred but not essential
  • Competency with pharmacy management systems, preferably Datascan by WinPharm
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
