Niyam is seeking an experienced Maximo Report Writer and Workflow Specialist to support the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of IBM Maximo reporting solutions and business workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Maximo applications, report development, workflow configuration, and business process automation to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting and Analytics

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain IBM Maximo reports and KPI dashboards using BIRT and advanced SQL.
  • Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
  • Optimize report performance and troubleshoot reporting issues.
  • Develop ad hoc reports to support business operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting environments.
  • Maintain report documentation, standards, and version control.
  • Perform data analysis and SQL queries to support troubleshooting and reporting needs.

Workflow Development

    • Design, configure, implement, and maintain Maximo workflows to automate business processes.
    • Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
    • Configure and fine-tune Maximo escalations, notifications, actions, conditions, and complex business rules.
    • Support workflow testing, deployment, and change management activities.
    • Troubleshoot workflow-related issues and provide timely resolution.
    • Collaborate with business users to define workflow requirements and improve operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security requirements, and best practices.


    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field.
    • 4+ years of experience supporting IBM Maximo applications.
    • Proven, strong experience in BIRT Report Designer, Workflow Design, and advanced SQL (query optimization, data structures, and relational databases).
    • Experience designing and configuring Maximo workflows, escalations, actions, and business rules.
    • Knowledge of Maximo data structures, applications, and business processes.
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • The ability to explain technical Maximo concepts clearly to non-technical business partners.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


    Preferred Skills

    • Prior experience working on federal contracts.
    • Active IBM Maximo certification(s).
    • Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
    • Experience with Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
    • Knowledge of Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
    • Familiarity with Java, XML, automation scripting, or REST APIs.
    • Experience supporting mobile Maximo solutions.
