What is a Full Stack Developer IV?
The Full Stack Developer IV develops, integrates, and maintains full-stack applications and cloud infrastructure supporting SEF Energy IT operations, automation, and digital transformation. Independently delivers software solutions across front-end, back-end, database, and cloud layers, driving productivity and operational efficiency across the organization and its subsidiaries.
In this role, you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications (React, Next.js, Python) supporting business operations and automation
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS including VMs, networking, containers, and deployment pipelines
• Develop and integrate APIs and middleware connecting internal systems (ERP, email, calendar) with custom applications
• Implement and maintain MQTT broker, real-time data pipelines, and IoT Integrations for operational monitoring
• Design and manage databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) including schema design, optimization, and migrations
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Develop workflow automation integrations (n8n, webhooks, schedule jobs) to streamline business processes
• Collaborate with IT team on security hardening, identity/access management, and infrastructure monitoring
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer for developed systems, APIs, and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across application and infrastructure layers including on-call support
• Occasional travel to company offices or data center facilities may be required, estimated less than 10% of time (must possess a valid driver's license and meet the company driver requirement to operate a company vehicle while traveling)
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required and Preferred Experience:
• 8+ years of progressive full-stack development experience with demonstrated proficiency across the front-end, back-end, database, and cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and SQL
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks and Node.js or similar backend runtime
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently
• Effective communication
• Self-motivated with strong time management
• Use of MQTT, IoT protocols, or real-time data streaming
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API and Office 365 integrations
• Knowledge of workflow automation tools (n8n or similar)
• Oil and gas experience or industrial sector IT environments
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
• Office environment of an oil & gas manufacturing and servicing company
• Occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to manipulate with fingers, handle, or feel, walk, reach with hands and arms
• Lift, push, pulls up to 50 lbs. (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices. If mechanical assistance devices are not available, utilize a team lift.)

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
• Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS)
