Job description

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is looking for a Database Developer to join our team based out of Herndon, Va!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop formal database requirements for Sponsor consideration
  2. Analyze existing databases and data needs of clients to develop effective systems
  3. Translate database requirements into end-to-end design for databases that may involve multiple interfaces to other database systems
  4. Design, develop, implement and maintain database structures
  5. Design and maintain interactive web databases and web services; design graphics and user interfaces
  6. Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage
  7. Develop, test, implement and maintain complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
  8. Ensure data quality and integrity in databases
  9. Write interfaces to other database systems
  10. Integrate modules, test and resolve any errors
  11. Conduct unit/functional testing
  12. Track and resolve discrepancy reports
  13. Modify databases according to requests and perform testing of modifications
  14. Organize content, develop color schemes, design and produce graphics
  15. Optimize and maintain legacy systems
  16. Transition data from legacy systems to new database structures
  17. Transition database to production; enhance and refine database for performance
  18. Develop database documentation about the system and keep documentation current with any database modifications
  19. Develop an operational manual and keep operational manual current with any database modifications
  20. Work in conjunction with other developers/engineers to resolve issues, evaluate software modules, and develop appropriate specifications

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree in a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience.
  • An active security clearance with polygraph.
