We are seeking a Oracle EBS DBA to join our growing IT team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on database professional with strong Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 administration experience who enjoys working in a global enterprise environment.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
• Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 environments
• Perform Oracle Database installation, upgrades, patching, cloning, and migrations
• Manage EBS application tier and database tier components
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database operations
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Support EBS patching using ADOP and online patching methodologies
• Work closely with developers and functional teams on deployments and production support
• Ensure system security, compliance, and high availability
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 administration experience
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c
• Experience with EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Java, etc.)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with MySQL. PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Knowledge of AI technologies, Generative AI, AI-assisted operations, or AI-driven database monitoring and automation
• Mandarin Chinese language proficiency strongly preferred
