We are seeking an experienced Database Lead Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and optimization of our enterprise database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in operational management of cloud-native database solutions, particularly Oracle RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL, combined with strong Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform. This role requires both operational leadership and hands-on database operations skills to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and reliability of our critical data systems.
Key Responsibilities
Database Operations Management
• Oversee 24/7 operations of Oracle RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL production environments
• Lead incident response and resolution for database-related issues and outages
• Manage database performance monitoring, alerting, and proactive optimization
• Coordinate database maintenance windows, patching, and upgrade operations
Infrastructure Operations
• Operationalize Oracle RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL instances in AWS environments
• Maintain and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for operational consistency
• Execute and monitor automated backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Oversee database capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization initiatives
Technical Leadership
• Lead a team of database administrators and engineers
• Mentor junior team members on database technologies and best practices

Daily Operations & Performance
