Job description

Seeking a highly experienced SQL Developer to support our client in Greenville, SC.

Requirements

The Contractor will have a deep understanding of SQL programming, relational database design, and performance tuning, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views
  • Optimize existing queries and database structures for improved performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Perform data modeling, schema design, and documentation for new and existing projects
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards
  • Trouble‑shoot database‑related issues, including performance bottlenecks and query optimization
  • Support ETL processes and contribute to data integration initiatives
  • Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions
  • Skilled with building systems to system and systems to SQL integrations using the Microsoft technology stack: SSIS, .NET for custom API integrations, Azure Data Factory, etc.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and architecture with Microsoft SQL or Dataverse
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred
  • Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer
  • Experience with object‑oriented programming including C#
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL
  • Strong background in relational database management systems
  • Proven expertise in query optimization and database performance tuning
  • Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business terms
