Key Responsibilities
BI Infrastructure and Tools Management:
  • Evaluate and select appropriate BI tools and technologies to support the organization's BI initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of BI platforms, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Work with data warehouse architects, data scientists, and data collection application engineers to propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT to integrate BI solutions with existing systems and databases.

Strategic Planning:
  • Work closely with executive leadership and department heads to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for leveraging data and analytics.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in BI and analytics to continuously improve processes and methodologies.

Data Analysis and Insights:
  • Oversee the design and development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations that drive business decisions.
  • Interpret and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and department heads.

Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to validate the integrity of data sources and BI outputs.
  • Monitor and address data quality issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in information technology, management of information systems, computer science, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience as a business intelligence analyst or in a related role/occupation. In addition, the required prior experience must include:
  • 2 years of experience managing project timelines and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
  • 2 years of experience managing or mentoring junior analysts, including assigning tasks, reviewing deliverables, and providing guidance on best practices.
  • 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining BI infrastructure, including data warehouses, ETL workflows, and reporting platforms.
  • 2 years of experience developing dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for cross-functional business teams.
  • 2 years of experience creating and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools such as Matillion, Hevo, Airbyte, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • 2 years of experience writing advanced SQL queries and utilizing Python for data extraction, transformation, and validation from large relational databases.
  • 2 years of experience working with stakeholders to define KPIs, build semantic models, and align reporting to strategic business goals.
  • 1 year of experience acting as the primary owner of BI platforms, responsible for administration, performance tuning, and user access controls.
  • 1 year of experience collaborating with engineering or IT teams to deploy and optimize data infrastructure in a cloud or hybrid environment.
  • 1 year of experience implementing data quality checks, lineage documentation, or governance protocols across BI assets.
  • 1 year of experience contributing to platform/tool evaluation or migration projects, including vendor comparison and transition planning.
