Job description

Database Administrator

We are seeking a Database Administrator II who will create, manage, and ensure the accuracy of Crystal Reports and SSRS. When data doesn't match, they'll dive deep to troubleshoot discrepancies, while managing SQL database integrity, performance and designs for scalability and compliance. They'll collaborate with our existing DBA to document processes and ensure knowledge continuity.

What You'll Do

  • Create, modify, and maintain Crystal Reports and SSRS, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with underlying data structures.
  • Investigate and resolve data and reporting discrepancies, tracing issues across reports, stored procedures, and source tables to determine root cause.
  • Collaborate with the existing DBA in working sessions, capturing knowledge, documenting processes, and contributing to shared SQL/report repositories.
  • Own SQL development and data-layer logic, including writing and optimizing queries, stored procedures, triggers, and data transformations.
  • Manage database integrity, performance, and reliability, including backups, restores, indexing, and proactive tuning.
  • Design and support scalable, audit-ready data solutions, incorporating performance optimization, auditability, and long-term growth considerations.
  • Ensure data security and compliance alignment, supporting standards such as SOC 2, CMMC, and ISO 27001 in database and reporting design

What You Bring

  • Minimum 4-6 years of SQL database administration (backups, schema, triggers, and integrity).
  • Experience optimizing queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Crystal Reports and SSRS.
  • Familiarity with financial data flows or ERP systems (Vista ERP is a plus).
  • Security- and compliance-minded, familiar with frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Clear documentation habits, contributing to shared repositories.
