Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Database Administrator andassist the Systems Administration organization within parent org Platform Services. This assignment primarily focuses on Oracle RDBMS support, including ExaData. The assignment is integral in building and maintaining functioning database services for line of business applications to support human resources and financial management. The work required of this assignment must adhere to the facility's cyber security policies and be performed in a manner that is compliant with the facility's audit requirements.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Portland, OR with onsite 5 days per week for the first 3 - 6 months, and then remote eligible. The hourly pay rate range for this position is between $70.00 and $81.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in information technology (or closely related technical discipline) is preferred.
10+ years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
15+ years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
Experience should include directly related IT infrastructure administration.
10+ years of knowledge and experience sufficient to administer Oracle 19c/23ai on a Linux platform.
5+ years of knowledge and experience sufficient to successfully troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems using text-based logs, Windows event logs, and various utilities as it pertains to support of Oracle Database services.
5+ years knowledge of and experience building tools for other administrators to use and automating operations with scripting tools such as shell scripting, perl, or PowerShell.
5+ years of knowledge of and experience with TCP/IP and related services.
Direct experience supporting production workloads using Oracle RAC.
Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.
Preferred Skills:
Direct experience managing Oracle ExaData operations including patch management.
Direct experience working with an enterprise scheduling system.
Experience with Perl is highly preferred.
Experience configuring and managing systems using Puppet Enterprise.
Expert level knowledge/certification for SQL and/or Real Application Clusters .
