Computational and Data Systems Institute

Position Summary:

  • Collect,enterandvalidatedata into CDSI's shared databases tofacilitateactivities and reports, with emphasis onMcCAISand CDSI workshops.

  • Support the creation of reports for programming,McCAISand CDSI activities.

  • Collaborativelymonitorand manage theMcCAISand CDSI shared inboxes and other shared systems, including e-mails, onlineformsandresponses.

  • Assistin low-level guidance for statistical or computing related questions.

  • Prepare documents including forms, workshop materials, marketing and promotional materials, and emails.

  • Support new communications activities, such as podcasts or expanded social media (reels, etc.), including recruiting, scheduling, and other logistical support

  • Support CDSISharepointfile systems, Teams groups, and related platforms (i.e., Zoom) for CDSI workshops and events.

  • Answer general inquiries andfacilitateclarificationregardingprograms and services offered by CDSI and itsentities.

  • Assistwith planning and setting up events, meetings, sessions, and workshops.

  • Distribute and track documents, equipment, and Online permissions.

  • Supportinternalandexternalrelationshipsheld byCDSIand its entities.

  • Performingother relatedduties.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Strong writtenand verbalcommunication skills.

  • Frenchfluencyisan asset

  • Knowledge of more than one computer operating system (Linux, Mac, Windows) is an asset.

  • Knowledge of statistical software package(s)(e.g.,R, Stata, SAS) is an asset.

  • Knowledge of programminglanguage(s)(e.g.,Python) is an asset.

  • Incumbent must belocatedin Montreal, as this is a hybrid position.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience

High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work.

Preference will be given to McGill registered students
