About the Role


We are hiring an Teradata DBA




MUST HAVES:



  • Teradata DBA with more than 10 year s experience including experience with Teradata V17.20 or higher.

  • Strong understanding of Teradata databases, including physical and logical design.

  • Proficient with Teradata tools and utilities.

  • Familiar with Mainframe systems and how to run jobs or interfaces.

  • Experience using Viewpoint, Data Mover, and Teradata backup/restore tools.

  • Able to write and use Unix/Linux scripts.

  • Proficient in Teradata suit


PLUSSES


Previous experience working with Bank or within the financial services industry.


Working knowledge of QueryGrid, DSA, Taraserver


DAY TO DAY:



  • Teradata DBA with more than 10 years experience including some experience with Teradata V17.20 or higher.

  • Support Application DBA functions including DDL creation, SQL scripting, problem research, change deployments, on call rotation support, etc.

  • Assist with design, development, implementation, documentation, and support of automated DBA processes using Teradata and Unix/Linux scripting.

  • Support multiple Teradata systems including development/UAT, disaster recovery, and the enterprise warehouse production environments.

  • Implement and administer access policies in conjunction with corporate standards.

  • Support some Mainframe administrative functions including archive processing and job scheduling.

  • Manage, design, support, document, and consult on practices of storage management, archive, restore, and disaster recovery.

  • Work closely with Application projects teams on implementation of database changes to support large project initiatives and BAU work.

  • Complete any assigned training courses and attend any required team meetings/calls to learn about and stay up to date on internal DBA team processes and tools. Provide high level weekly written status report to manager.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned DBA team members or managers.



Hourly Rate: 60$-65$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
