Job Description
Salary Range:$64,663.30 - $100,235.20
Works under the direction of the Land Development Manager to develop
and maintain the geospatial (GIS) component for Land Development. Designs, develops, and implements the
Land Development database platform. Integrates current engineering database systems and provides real-time
GIS data. Involves all facets of the application development life cycle, including business analysis,
requirements gathering, and designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting existing and new
applications. Manages the Fiber Installation contract. Serves as the Fiber Optics Installation supervisor for the
contract team members, includes providing work direction, assignment of duties, and evaluating work
performance. Provides periodic data analytics reports and dashboards to management. Manages special
engineering projects. Researches current and new engineering analytics tools and standards. Provides summary
reports and presents to management. Recommends changes and/or modifications of procedures to improve
Land Development systems. Drives to various locations throughout the City to attend events and meetings and
to conduct onsite visits related to Land Development.
Responsibilities
1. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be
able to operate general office equipment such as a computer and a telephone. Requires the ability to operate an
automobile.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Requires
travel between building sites and to various meetings, office, and other locations. May occasionally be exposed
to dust, noise, heat, sounds, and various weather conditions.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and three (3) years of
professional engineering experience, including specific experience in database analytics and possession of an
Engineering - In - Training Certificate (EIT); or any combination of experience and training which enables one
to perform the essential job functions. Master's degree in engineering, Construction Management or Analytics
is preferred. Requires GIS systems experience utilizing ERSI software (ArcGIS/ArcInfo, Spatial Analyst, and
3D Analyst). Experience with Microsoft Excel is required
