Job description

We are looking for a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years Oracle DBA experience supporting large-scale or enterprise level database services. This is for a funded, long-term contract.
Responsibilities

  • Provide technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements
  • Lead enterprise wide solution engagements for high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget
  • Develop an integrated and robust solution based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third party components
  • Provide subject matter experience to assist customer through difficult business decisions
  • Design, configure, and implement all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen
  • Recommend enhancements to meet complex customer needs

Requirements

  • TS/SCI FSP Clearance
  • BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years’ experience
  • 10 + years’ experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle’s database (10 – current). Extensive experience with database design and modeling, including the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
  • Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration
  • Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills
