Qualifications

Data Engineerย  need 5 years experience


Data Engineer requires:

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
  • Expert knowledge in SQL query language is required.
  • Experience with Getting and Cleansing Data (ETL), including SalesForce and Big Data sources, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with IBM's SPSS product is desirable. ย 
  • Working knowledge of Linux based client server applications.
  • Aptitude for research, organization and structuring of complex problems.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills and communication skills.
  • Prior experience with metadata management repositories is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the financial services, retirement or insurance industry is highly desirable
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills are required.

ย Data Engineer duties:

  • Create Best Practices and enforce those practices, to optimize the Analytics Data Store data loading and consumption.ย  ย ย 
  • Identify
    data needs for projects, architect, plan, and execute the extract,
    transform, and load (ETL) activities, using a combination of 3rd party
    and open source technologies.
