Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join our warehouse team. This internship offers hands-on experience in day-to-day warehouse operations, providing the opportunity to build practical skills while supporting real-time logistics and inventory activities. The ideal candidate will gain exposure to inventory management, order fulfillment, and operational workflows, contributing to the efficiency and success of our distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the warehouse barcoding project by labeling materials to enable scanning and inventory tracking in NISC.
  • Verify materials are correctly placed in assigned bin locations; relocate items as needed to maintain accurate bin organization.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse bins and shelving (cleanliness, order, labeling, and easy access to frequently used items).
  • Issue materials to work orders and accurately document/track material movement.
  • Return unused materials from completed work orders to stock and ensure items are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Assist with organizing the yard to keep materials staged, stored, and identified correctly.
  • Shred/dispose of old documents according to retention and confidentiality requirements.

  • Assist with receiving deliveries
    • Check materials against packing slips
    • Help unload and stage items for stocking
  • Support data entry and record updates in NISC
    • Enter material receipts
    • Update quantities and item locations
