Data Visualization Specialist

The Opportunity

Within the U.S. Army environment, timely and informed decisionmaking depends on standardized data, reliable digital systems, and intuitive tools for accessing, visualizing, and analyzing information across both unclassified and classified domains. This position supports that mission by strengthening the Army's data ecosystem and enabling stakeholders with accurate, accessible, and meaningful information. In this role, you will design, build, update, and troubleshoot Qlik applications and dashboards that enhance data visualization for portfolio oversight, technology transition activities, POM development, and other operational requirements. You will integrate data from multiple sources to improve application functionality, assist new users with gaining access to Qlik tools, and maintain user access control lists on a monthly basis. Drawing on experience with SQL and relational databases, you will also review and provide feedback on data ingestion processes and natural language processing best practices to support highโ€‘quality data pipelines.

Additional responsibilities include supporting an Army enterpriseโ€‘level knowledge management portal, ensuring data accuracy, alignment with established data standards, and overall system integrity. You will coordinate with subject matter experts to request updates to data, forms, and functionality, and you will validate developerโ€‘implemented changes to maintain system reliability and performance. All updates and verifications will be captured in a monthly changelog summarizing key modifications. Beyond system sustainment, you will assist in preparing technical documentation such as training materials, system guides, user documentation, and study reports to support application usage, data migration, and longโ€‘term system maintenance.

This role also contributes to broader Army 365 and digital development efforts by designing and maintaining SharePoint sites and repositories, managing permissions across Army 365, Qlik, and Power Apps, and supporting the data standards, templates, and glossaries that provide consistency across platforms. You will conduct exploratory data analysesโ€” including correlation, clustering, and anomaly detectionโ€”and evaluate platforms such as Vantage to identify opportunities for improved analytics, visualization, and integration. Ultimately, your work will enhance the data infrastructure, tools, and insights that empower mission partners to make informed decisions across essential Army programs.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have
  • 2+ years of experience building, enhancing, or troubleshooting data visualizations or dashboards
  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQLโ€‘based data modeling
  • Experience integrating and validating data from multiple structured sources
