ClearEdge is a mission-focused company solving complex technical challenges for the DoD. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape technical direction, architecture, and development practices while developing advanced data visualization capabilities and mentoring less senior engineers.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Designing and implementing data visualization toolkits and frameworks
โ€ข Supporting configuration, deployment, and operational use of visualization platforms
โ€ข Developing innovative visualization solutions for complex, multi-dimensional data
โ€ข Collaborating with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and refine designs
โ€ข Applying cloud architecture best practices to scalable software solutions
โ€ข Developing and maintaining web-based server applications
โ€ข Implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases
โ€ข Exploring and applying novel and non-traditional visualization techniques
โ€ข Mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance
โ€ข Contributing to agile development processes and team workflows
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment (4 additional years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree)
โ€ข Experience developing software using Python or Java
โ€ข Experience creating complex, multi-dimensional data visualizations
โ€ข Experience with dynamic visualization techniques including drill-down, time-shifting, and cascading views
โ€ข Experience with data modeling and normalization of metrics
โ€ข Experience developing and maintaining web-based server applications
โ€ข Experience implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
โ€ข Experience creating static presentations and static web pages
โ€ข Experience leading or mentoring small cross-functional technical teams
โ€ข Knowledge of agile software development methodologies
