Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Visualization Specialist (Level 3) with 5–10 years of professional experience to design, develop, and deliver impactful dashboards and visual analytics solutions. This position will play a key role in helping stakeholders across the utility sector make informed, data-driven decisions by transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities
  • Dashboard & Report Development

    • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations that highlight operational, financial, and engineering insights.

    • Curate datasets using SQL and integrate multiple data sources to support reporting needs.

    • Optimize performance and usability of dashboards for a variety of business users.

  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Partner with engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to understand requirements and deliver accurate, visually compelling dashboards.

    • Provide expertise in visual storytelling, ensuring technical content is accessible and informative to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Data Governance & Quality

    • Validate and maintain accuracy of data visualizations.

    • Ensure visualizations comply with established standards for consistency, clarity, and reliability.

  • Advanced Analytics Support

    • Support adoption of advanced visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Azure Databricks) for complex reporting requirements.

    • Explore opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in reporting processes.


Qualifications
  • Education:

    • BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 5–10 years of relevant data visualization and dashboard development experience.

    • Strong expertise with Power BI required.

    • Hands-on experience with SQL for data curation.

    • Familiarity with Azure Databricks and Tableau is preferred.

    • Prior experience supporting analytics in utilities, engineering, or energy-related fields is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proven ability to transform raw datasets into actionable insights.

    • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and visualization best practices.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
