Job description

The Data Verification Specialist is responsible for executing and managing initiatives to ensure clean and accurate data around missing information, performing root cause analysis and implementing process improvements, including client education and training to reduce missing information overall. He or she is responsible for nurturing ongoing relationships with clients, both internal and external, that drive loyalty and a positive experience. The Data Verification Specialist will provide feedback, coaching and mentoring to Specimen collectors/managers and Clients for ongoing sample follow up, to improve the quality of orders received and aide in the reduction of missing billing information. He or she will also triage and track Client escalated issues regarding recurrent missing information, both testing and billing related. He or she is responsible for managing issues to resolution and documenting outcomes and working with the Sales Leadership team, Specimen Collectors/Managers to modify processes to achieve 100% receipt of complete sample information. The Data Verification Specialist will have a heavy focus on continuous improvement and identifying processes that support optimal performance of acquiring a customer sample with all relevant information to test and bill as efficiently as possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Clean, Accurate, and Actionable Data around Missing and/or Invalid Information
    • Effectively coordinate with other Aegis departments and clients to share information, data and feedback on missing information activities.
      • Execute client contact to recover missing/invalid information via Phone, email, or Fax with a heavy focus on root cause analysis
        • Search and update Horizon record efficiently with minimal errors when missing information has been recovered
        • Search and update CareEvolve records efficiently with minimal errors when missing information has been recovered
    • Document outcomes and keep missing information records up to date at all times
  • Identify and manage process improvement activities related to resolving the sources of missing information
    • Identify trends and root causes of missing information.
    • Identify, manage and implement process improvements to close gaps in missing information
      • Utilize root cause analysis and other process improvement methodologies
      • Ensure effective project management and execution
    • Identify opportunities to enhance Specimen Collector/Manager and Client Education
      • Provide feedback, coaching and mentoring to Specimen Collectors/Managers and Clients surrounding missing billing information and incomplete orders being received
        • Facilitate training sessions to provide support to Specimen Collectors/Managers, Clients and Sales Leadership to reduce gaps in understanding
        • Coordinate /compile and report on data, metrics and outcomes relevant to Specimen Collector/Managers and Client education
        • Execute Remote Processing Support
          • Triage and track client escalations from Remote Processing Team regarding recurrent issues related to quality of orders or damaged/leaking samples and manage issues to resolution
            • Non-SC Clients: Communicate with client locations and Sales Leadership to educate and resolve recurrent issues
            • SC Clients: Communicate with Specimen Collectors/Managers to educate and resolve recurrent issues
          • Document outcomes issues to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
          • Work on special projects tied to the goals and objectives of the role that primarily focus on the process of education to clients, Specimen Collectors/Managers and Sales Leadership

Successful Candidates Must Possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience required (including special projects or process improvement)
  • Project management skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required; intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and prioritizing workloads
  • Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to interact and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of team members and clients required
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle client needs appropriately
  • Ability to use good judgment and work independently
  • Strong analytical skills and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

Schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
