Systems Analyst Senior

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. The Systems Analyst Senior serves as a strategic business and systems partner responsible for supporting business and technology initiatives that improve operational performance, system functionality, data quality, and organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will partner with business and technical stakeholders to analyze business processes, define business requirements, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and implement scalable solutions that align technology capabilities with business objectives. You will apply business analysis, process improvement, project coordination, testing, and operational expertise to enhance system performance, improve business outcomes, and support successful delivery of organizational priorities.

  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives by coordinating workstreams across business, operational, technical, and stakeholder teams to ensure alignment on business objectives, requirements, dependencies, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between business and technology teams by translating business needs into business requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, and solution recommendations.
  • Define, document, validate, and manage business requirements, functional requirements, testing strategies, implementation activities, and operational readiness for system enhancements and business initiatives.
  • Independently manage assigned workstreams by developing work plans, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, resolving barriers, and ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and business outcomes.
  • Manages integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.
  • Analyze business processes, operational data, and system functionality to identify root causes, evaluate impacts, and recommend practical solutions that improve operational effectiveness, system performance, and business outcomes.
  • Apply business operations knowledge across Claims, Provider, Member, and related healthcare functions to support business initiatives and technology solutions.
  • Support system implementations, user acceptance testing (UAT), production validation, and post-implementation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations.
  • Creates feature test strategies and environment needs.
  • Applies and mentors use of tools to define requirements.
  • Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures high level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and map to approved requirements.
  • Assists in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience with documenting requirements and/or building test cases for a variety of technologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience supporting business systems, healthcare operations, managed care, Claims, Provider, Member, or related operational functions preferred.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing business and functional requirements for technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience evaluating business processes, identifying root causes, and recommending practical business and system solutions.
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing workstreams, or supporting project delivery within cross-functional business and technology environments preferred.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, documenting action items, managing dependencies, and coordinating stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle preferred.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, user acceptance testing (UAT), production validation, release management, and operational readiness activities preferred.
  • Experience using SQL or similar query tools to analyze data, validate business requirements, perform research, and support operational decision-making preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare claims, encounter processing, or data management platforms such as Facets, Edifecs, Snowflake, or comparable systems preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $83,440 -$125,160.
