Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

At the direction of the Operations Manager and/or Director of Cannabis Operations for Northern Light Cannabis Company in Dafter, Michigan. The Distribution Clerk will assist with the packaging and distribution operations of the facility, including, but not limited to, weighing, sorting, packaging, labeling, data entry, reporting and inventory of all cannabis, THC or CBD infused products. The Distribution Clerk will also work with the Operations Manager and Distribution Specialist to ensure the inventory of bulk, prepackaged and packaged items remains correct and compliant within the tribal monitoring system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides exemplary customer service, while being prompt and professional.
  2. Weighing, sorting, packaging, labeling, data entry and inventory of all cannabis, THC or CBD infused products.
  3. Ensure the correct and compliant inventory of all bulk, prepackaged, and packaged items in the tribal monitoring system.
  4. Ensure the packaging/distribution area is clean, sanitized, stocked and well-organized at all times.
  5. Proper scale management and data recording of all cannabis weight or cannabis infused products.
  6. Completes any necessary reports and/or paperwork promptly and correctly.
  7. Remain on task, while properly preparing all cannabis and cannabis infused products into retail-ready packaging.
  8. Maintain in-depth knowledge of packaging tools and technology.
  9. Ensure all health and safety precautions when handling cannabis product.
  10. Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains within the facility, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
  11. Display a high level of product understanding.
  12. Ensure the Distribution Department remains compliant with security, inventory, state, federal and tribal regulations and laws to ensure safety and compliance.
  13. Keep up to date with Northern Light Cannabis Company, BMBH and BMIC policies and procedures at the direction of the Director of Cannabis Operations, Marijuana Commission and/or Tribal Council.
  14. Responsible for learning and following daily policies and procedures for the Bay Mills Business Holdings, NLCC and Distribution Department.
  15. Assists Cultivation Technicians, as needed.
  16. Assists Distribution Specialist, as needed.
  17. Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Director of Cannabis Operations and/or Operations Manager.
  18. Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position's essential functions.
