At Similarweb, we are revolutionizing the way businesses interact with the digital world by revealing to them everything that happens online. Our unique data and solutions empower over 6,000 customers globally, including industry giants like Google, eBay, and Adidas, to make game-changing decisions that drive their digital strategies. In 2021, we went public on the New York Stock Exchange, and we continue to reach new heights. Work alongside Similarwebbers from around the globe who are bright, curious, practical, and genuinely good people.

We're hiring a Data Strategist to blend technical fluency, analytical thinking, and business acumen to help customers turn Similarweb data into scalable impact.

You'll partner with Sales, Account Management, Data Solution Engineers, and client-side technical leaders to define how data is applied, integrated, and operationalized across complex environments. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll own data strategy, use-case design, and cross-functional execution from concept through early delivery.

This is a customer-facing, revenue-influencing role supporting new business, expansion, and long-term partnerships across Investors, Big Tech, OEMs, and Enterprises.

What You'll Do:

Data Strategy & Use-Case Design

  • Define data strategies and analytical frameworks tied to business outcomes
  • Translate business questions into scalable data use cases
  • Design solutions across investment research, product intelligence, OEM data products, and enterprise analytics
  • Identify opportunities for new metrics, benchmarks, and analytical approaches

Technical Project Management

  • Lead coordination across clients, GTM, Data Solution Engineers, and R&D
  • Scope and orchestrate data initiatives from discovery through early production
  • Translate requirements into technical briefs and align on feasibility, timelines, and trade-offs
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations

Data Integration & Enablement

  • Guide integration of Similarweb data into modern data stacks (APIs, cloud platforms, warehouses)
  • Partner with Data Solution Engineers to ensure scalable, feasible solutions
  • Advise on data structure, refresh cadence, and consumption

Data Analysis & POCs

  • Build data samples, prototypes, and POCs using SQL, Python, or BI tools
  • Validate use cases through insight-driven analysis
  • Communicate assumptions and trade-offs clearly to diverse audiences

Domain Expertise & GTM Collaboration

  • Develop deep expertise in key verticals (Investors, Big Tech, OEM, Enterprise)
  • Partner with Sales throughout the deal lifecycle-from discovery to expansion
  • Create reusable frameworks, demos, and use-case narratives

Innovation & Feedback

  • Identify gaps, trends, and new opportunities in client use of data
  • Provide input to Product and R&D on roadmap, datasets, and integrations

What you bring to Similarweb:

  • Minimum three years in data strategy, analytics, data science, or technical pre-sales
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder data initiatives
  • Background working with senior technical stakeholders (e.g., CTOs, Heads of Data Science)
  • Strong SQL and/or Python for data analysis
  • Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, and modern data ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP)
  • Experience building data samples or analytical prototypes
  • Strong ability to translate data into clear business value
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity

Nice to Have

  • Experience in investing, Big Tech, OEM/data products, or enterprise analytics

*At Similarweb, collaborating with our colleagues in-office creates a more connected, unified culture. Our best work is a product of our face-to-face collaboration, with the ability to work partially from home.*
