Data Solutions Architect  - Databricks

12 Months contract – Extension   

Location:   Vienna, VA 22182

 Job description:

  • As a Data Solutions Architect (Resident Solutions Architect) in our Professional Services team you will work with clients on short to medium term customer engagements on their big data challenges using the Databricks platform. You will provide data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects which require integrating with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to help customers to get most value out of their data.
  • RSAs are billable and know how to complete projects according to specification with excellent customer service.
  • You will report to the regional Manager/Lead.

 Key Responsibilities

 Architecture & Technology Strategy

  • Perform technology and tools assessments to evaluate market trends and determine the best fit within the enterprise landscape
  • Evaluate architecture patterns and oversee implementation from concept to production
  • Conduct research on emerging tools and technologies to recommend cost-effective and innovative solutions
  • Define and design end-to-end data and AI architectures

Data & AI Solution Delivery

  • Design, develop, and implement data solutions using the Databricks platform
  • Build scalable data pipelines, analytics solutions, and machine learning models
  • Leverage Databricks Mosaic AI capabilities for advanced analytics and GenAI use cases
  • Productionalize customer use cases and deploy enterprise-grade solutions

Client Engagement & Consulting

  • Work directly with customers on short- to medium-term engagements to solve big data challenges
  • Design and build reference architectures and reusable frameworks
  • Guide customers through data platform modernization, migrations, and AI transformations
  • Collaborate with engagement managers to scope and deliver professional services projects
  • Provide architectural guidance and ensure successful adoption of Databricks

 Support & Delivery Excellence

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalated support for customer issues
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, scalability, and performance

 Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in:
    • Big Data technologies
    • Databricks ecosystem
    • Machine Learning and Generative AI
  • Strong experience with distributed data processing (e.g., Apache Spark)
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Scala
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures
  • Proven ability to work in client-facing roles and deliver consulting engagements
