Overview
The VP, Data Scientist at Alpha Labs will collaborate with audience strategist and marketing
technologists to identify and activate data driven applications across a connected
consumer journey. This role will operate at the leading edge of new business pursuits and
strategic innovation-uncovering white space opportunities and architecting breakthrough,
data-driven audience solutions that differentiate Publicis Groupe in the market.
The VP, Data Scientist will partner across the broader company to spearhead
groundbreaking AI-driven advertising solutions. This includes contributing thinking on new
business pitches and key client engagements to innovate never-been-done-before
solutions. Collaborating with Groupe Solutions leads and business development teams to
employ Publicis AI products and exclusive data tools.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
  • Partner with Audience Strategy leads to identify and model audience whitespace
  • opportunities using first- and third-party data, syndicated research, and behavioral
    signals.
  • Design and deploy predictive segmentation, targeting, and measurement models to
    fuel innovative campaign strategies and new business pursuits.
  • Build Python-based data science solutions and deploy to Databricks, AWS and Azure
    environments to scale strategic audience solutions.
  • Translate complex datasets into compelling visualizations, frameworks, and
    narratives that differentiate Publicis Groupe in competitive pitch environments.
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and technology partners to embed data science
    outputs into end-to-end communication planning.
  • Evolve and co-develop proprietary audience intelligence tools in collaboration with
    CoreAI, enhancing Groupe-level product innovation.
  • Actively contribute to strategic responses in RFPs and pursuits-applying data
    science to unlock bold, bespoke audience experiences.

Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in Python programming and data analysis (Pandas, NumPy,
    Scikit-learn), ideally within a media, marketing, or tech context.
  • Advanced skills in regression, predictive modeling, statistical inference, and
    experimental design.
  • Familiarity with Marketing Mix Models, attribution techniques, and consumer
    behavior datasets.
  • Experience visualizing insights for C-level or new business audiences; ability to
    translate data into decision-making tools.
  • Proven experience deploying applications and models into cloud environments,
    Databricks experience a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate in high-pressure, fast-paced environments (e.g., pitch rooms, RFP war rooms).

Compensation Range: $163,210 - $261,660 Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
