Responsibilities
Noblis is seeking a Data Scientist/Instructor in Springfield VA.
This role will primarily focus on providing support to Fundamental (2000) learning levels and courses, with a secondary focus on Intermediate (3000) learning level courses, both levels within the Data Science content area.
The selected candidate is able to build upon the knowledge taught at the introductory learning level (1000), in order to effectively handle fundamental (2000) learning level/course tasks.
Have a thorough understanding of the concepts and skills related to data science and can apply these skills in routine and none routine situations. The candidate shall be able to apply tradecraft skills through problem based exercises culminating in exams. The candidate shall demonstrate solid data science tradecraft skills and an understanding of how data science tradecraft contributes to addressing key intelligence questions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading individual projects, people, or technical/functional solutions
  • Work on advanced problems or assignments of large scope, impact, and importance, applying broad and deep knowledge of professional specialty and business dynamics
  • Work on assignments in multiple business or technical areas; apply advanced concepts and understanding of policies, procedures, and techniques
  • Build and maintain effective relationships for customer service and project support; demonstrate initiative and proactively identify and communicate needs
  • Influence at the team or department level; participate in policy and procedure development
  • Receive general supervision, apply seasoned judgment autonomously
  • Understand the current and emerging client space and evaluate and apply practical and innovative concepts and methodologies to solve difficult problems
  • Independently complete routine work
  • Make recommendations to improve standard practices, procedures and tools
  • Employ advanced skills and grow project deliverables, as well as your expertise

Required Qualifications
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited (i.e., regional, national, or institutional) academic institution, related to their assigned area of expertise (i.e., Computational Thinking, Programming, Statistics, or Data Visualization).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience focusing on the concepts and applications of data analytics, computer science and programming, data modeling, Artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Desired Qualifications
  • TS/SCI CI Polygraph.
  • A master's degree from an accredited (i.e., regional, national, or institutional) academic institution, related to their assigned area of expertise (i.e., Computational Thinking, Programming, Statistics, or Data Visualization).
  • GEOINT experience.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
