Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to support business decision-making, as well as investigating and documenting existing data systems, reports, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Reverse engineer existing reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and legacy SQL logic to understand and document underlying business rules, calculations, and data lineage
  • Trace metrics and KPIs back to their source systems and transformation logic when documentation is missing or outdated
  • Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, or gaps in existing reporting processes and recommend improvements
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into data solutions
  • Document data definitions, query logic, and dashboard architecture for future maintainability
  • Support ad hoc data requests and analysis for various departments Required Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, query optimization)
  • Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
  • Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer existing queries, reports, or systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
