Position Overview

The Claims Division is seeking a team member to join the Claims Operations Team as a Data Quality Analyst. In this role the responsibilities include, but not limited to, examining complexdatato ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze, query, and manage claims corrections according to defined business rules and procedures
  • Research and determine scope and complexity of issue then identify steps to resolve all internal data exceptions within various systems in timely and accurate manner
  • Determine root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions
  • Determine business impact level for data quality issues
  • Collaborate and maintain cross-functional working relationships with team members of multiple business units; Claims Third-party Administrators (TPA), Programmers, and approved vendors to analyze and correct data quality errors
  • Produce ad-hoc reporting for TPA, Business, IT teams, and external partner.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of insurance industry and insurance claims operations particularly in the area of commercial property and casualty claims
  • Adherence to data quality standards to ensure accuracy and provide logical approach to identify, compare, resolve, and improve data quality
  • Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with SQL, Snowflake, and Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), evaluation, listening, and interpersonal skills to effectively maintain productive working relationships with internal/external peers and other professionals across organizational lines
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to self-start and work independently

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least two (2) years of work experience at an insurance company and/or insurance claims loss adjustment service provider supporting property and casualty insurance regarding policies, claims, and resolutions for commercial accounts

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$75,000 - $95,000/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
