Job description

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical data center construction projects. This role is responsible for managing all phases of construction-from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout-while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle management of data center construction projects (ground-up and/or retrofit)
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
  • Oversee preconstruction activities including estimating, buyout, and subcontractor procurement
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and execution
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Monitor project progress and proactively mitigate risks and delays
  • Lead regular project meetings, reporting on schedule, budget, and key milestones
  • Oversee commissioning processes, including MEP systems (electrical, mechanical, cooling infrastructure)
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to contract documents and specifications
  • Manage client relationships and provide consistent communication throughout project lifecycle
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-10+ years of construction project management experience, with data center or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, especially electrical infrastructure (UPS, generators, switchgear)
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects ($10M-$200M+)
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or MS Project
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost control
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hyperscale data center projects (AWS, Google, Microsoft environments)
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and Tier standards (Uptime Institute)
  • LEED accreditation or sustainability experience
  • Experience working with General Contractors or Owner’s Rep firms
