Manager, Project Management - Card Data, Model Ready Data

As a member of the Data Strategy & Program Execution (DSPE) organization, you will be part of a talented team helping to bring our data strategy to life for Card. In this high-visibility role, you will drive delivery of Model Ready Data. You will connect with leaders across our product, tech, and enterprise strategy teams to bring together a holistic view of dependencies and cross-functional requirements. Your role will be critical to the collective success of the teams and the initiative.

General Responsibilities:
  • Drive large-scale, complex projects by gathering and synthesizing requirements, and tracking commitments through to delivery.

  • Design, develop, and manage project documentation, adjusting plans in a dynamic environment to meet changing requirements.

  • Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to drive stakeholders with differing points of view toward a common goal, establishing program consensus and delivering on intent.

  • Put organizational structure in place to manage work in a complex environment, providing strategic direction to stakeholders.

  • Navigate and speak comfortably within the data ecosystem, partner cross-functionally and bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy.

  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate program delivery risks, ensuring robust documentation is in place and establishing clear paths for the direct escalation of risks when necessary.

  • Establish and facilitate clear, standardized communication channels across technical, product, and enterprise stakeholders.

  • Build relationships and collaborate across a broad set of stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 5 years of Project Management or Program Management experience

  • At least 3 years of experience leading projects across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree or MBA

  • 7+ years of Project Management or Program Management experience

  • 2+ years of experience working within data ecosystems or model development environments

  • 2+ years of experience driving large-scale tech transformation or data standardization initiatives

  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management


Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
