The TPM will lead the end-to-end delivery of the DataStage upgrade programme, covering legacy estate assessment, upgrade planning, migration execution, testing, cutover, and hypercare. This role is expected to have strong delivery leadership experience in data platform / ETL / data warehouse programmes, with the ability to manage complex dependencies across infrastructure, application, data, operations, and business stakeholders.


About the Role

This role is expected to have strong delivery leadership experience in data platform / ETL / data warehouse programmes, with the ability to manage complex dependencies across infrastructure, application, data, operations, and business stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Lead programme planning and execution for DataStage version upgrades from 8.x / 9.x to 11.x and associated migration workstreams.
  • Drive governance across project phases including discovery, planning, migration, testing, cutover, hypercare, and support transition.
  • Build and maintain integrated programme plans covering technical tracks, business readiness, environment dependencies, data validation, and release milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including DataStage SME, DataStage Admin, developers, cloud engineers, QA, BA, DevOps, and support teams.
  • Track programme risks, blockers, interdependencies, and escalations; ensure timely mitigation and decision-making.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, steering reviews, progress reporting, and delivery dashboards.
  • Ensure strong control over scope, effort prioritisation, resource ramp-up, and delivery quality.
  • Oversee cutover readiness, rollback planning, parallel run planning, and stabilisation governance.
  • Support client-facing discussions on migration sequencing, transition readiness, and managed services operating model.
