As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic experienced Program Manager to join our successful Toronto team! We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry who can provide superb work experience. This posting is for an existing, immediate vacancy.
The Program Manager is responsible for leading customer and internal programs from launch through production, ensuring successful execution across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and customer stakeholders. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer programs and drives program performance, timing, risk management, and successful product industrialization across multiple global facilities. 
The Program Manager is an Individual contributor, servant leader for the cross-functional team, and direct point of contact for customer line trials. They possess a solid working knowledge of subject matter, and provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to a subordinate group or individuals upon assignment and as applicable. The Program Manager has full program responsibility and is competent at:
 
  • Risk management.
  • Scope definition and management.
  • Change management.
  • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) creation.
  • Program timeline development and management.
  • Resource planning.
  • Customer and internal stakeholder management.
  • Financial management.
  • Program governance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participate in all aspects of corporate and customer programs and initiatives, including planning, budgeting, staff coaching, and program performance. 
  • Promote and track the program throughout the organization to ensure successful program realization. 
  • Oversee and mentor the work of program or project staff to ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with established standards or specifications. 
  • Evaluate program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.  
  • Ensure program activities follow internal and customer organizational policies and any relevant external regulations. 
  • Provide reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
  • Focus on delivering programs on time and on budget.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Near-term Projects and Opportunities:
  • Assist in the evaluation, implementation and the continued development of in scope Global Program Management reporting platform/systems.
  • Assist with the evaluation of existing processes and program management tools in use at other Active Dynamics Group locations and recommend a path forward.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of new projects, requiring industrialization of capital and tooling to transfer products from one location to another.
  • Take ownership of all programs related aspects with customer facing accounts.
  • Assist and contribute to Active’s mission to become platform focused.  This requires close coordination and oversight of multiple components from multiple global locations.  This corporate objective requires discipline, strategic thinking, and close focus to ensure flawless integration with internal stakeholders and external customer teams spread across multiple locations.    

Educational Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • PMP Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in program, project, or launch management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading customer-facing programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to develop and mentor others.
  • Goal oriented and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in motivating program teams to achieve challenging objectives.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision. 
  • Customer centric and relationship focused. 
  • Ability to travel to US/Mexico when needed.

Salary: $100,000 - $105,000 CAD
