The Partner Experience (PX) organization obsesses over partners by delivering world-class tools that enable them to launch, grow, and scale their businesses across Prime Video's business lines.
PX builds products that enable partners to onboard and make their content available to customers globally while managing selection across Prime Video business lines. PX empowers partners to acquire, engage, and retain customers through self-service marketing, merchandising, and promotion tools. By providing partners with best-in-class self-service capabilities throughout their engagement with Amazon, PX powers the flywheel through increased partner satisfaction and expanded selection for Amazon customers.
Partner Experience Business Intelligence (PXBI) fulfills the data needs for the PX organization by providing big data to power crucial partner-facing products and meeting contractual reporting obligations. PXBI empowers Prime Video partners with performance data to grow their businesses and builds data infrastructure to process big data. This infrastructure enables measurement of organizational product delivery effectiveness and facilitates data-driven decision-making within PX.
Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to enhance PXBI's core data infrastructure by implementing AWS services to build data pipelines, improve data accuracy, reduce latency, increase service stability, and ensure compliance with Amazon-wide data regulations. The Data Engineer will partner with Senior Data Engineers and SDE teams to build Slate Analytics-a next-generation reporting and analytics product replacing the existing VC and PVD reporting systems. You will design and implement robust, scalable data infrastructure to deliver intra-day data powering Slate Analytics.
As a Data Engineer on the team, you will work with very large datasets in one of the world's largest and most complex data lake and data warehouse environments. You will design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure to process large volumes of data from various sources.
- Writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices
- Leveraging AWS data processing services
- Possessing broad knowledge of different data types and when to use them
- Understanding data security and compliance standards to ensure alignment with company policies and regulations
- Using GenAI to improve efficiency and accelerate delivery
A day in the life
Write the design document to propose the solutions to resolve challenging data processing and data handling.
Meet with peers to discuss proposed solutions.
Review design documents with product managers, senior management, and Senior SDEs to communicate your approach and gather feedback.
Build data infrastructure and pipelines using AWS services.
Productionalize solutions into products used by Prime Video partners worldwide
Maintain existing data infrastructure and identify areas for improvements.
About the team
We are a centralized data team to support partner experience organization. We process big data by using advance AWS services. We work closely with PM, TPM, SDE, Apply scientist and collaborate with other data teams outside of partner experience organization to deliver products for Prime Video partners.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
