POSITION IS 100% ONSITE DAILY IN NORCO, CA
Job Summary

VSolvit has an immediate opening for a skilled Data Analyst II to support the Data and Analytics team at Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division in Norco, California.

The Data Analyst II will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights, creating clear and informative visualizations, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position will independently perform data analysis, develop reports and dashboards, clean and validate datasets, and communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience in data analysis, strong experience with Tableau, Python, and SQL, and the ability to manage recurring analytical and reporting assignments with limited supervision.

As with any position, additional expectations include adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies, communicating regularly with assigned supervisors, attending required meetings, remaining focused on assigned tasks, and completing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.

  • Create and maintain interactive reports and visualizations using Tableau.

  • Present analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • Clean, transform, and preprocess data to improve accuracy and reliability.

  • Develop and maintain recurring data-processing and reporting workflows.

  • Perform data-quality checks and resolve identified data issues.

  • Write Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, reporting, and automation.

  • Use Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.

  • Write SQL queries to retrieve, combine, and validate data.

  • Assist with developing and improving data-reporting processes and standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • 2 to 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.

  • Proven experience using Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development.

  • Strong experience with data processing, cleaning, and validation.

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting.

  • Experience using Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or similar Python libraries.

  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with database-management systems.

  • Knowledge of statistical methods and analytical techniques.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • U.S. citizenship.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
