We are currently seeking a Primary Data Architect - Onsite Hybrid to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).

We are seeking a highly experienced Primary Architect – Data Platform to lead the design and implementation of modern, secure, scalable enterprise data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers), Cloud platforms & Cloud Security, Data Vault modeling, enterprise data exposure strategies, and advanced data modeling practices. This role will serve as the architectural authority across data initiatives, partnering with business stakeholders, engineering teams, governance bodies, and leadership to drive data strategy and platform excellence.

Job Responsibilities Include:

1. Data Architecture Leadership

  •        Define and implement enterprise-grade Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for scalable and governed data platforms.
  •        Architect high-performance data pipelines and lakehouse environments.
  •        Establish architectural standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.

2. Cloud Architecture & Security

  • Design and implement secure data solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and enforce:
  • Role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Data encryption (at rest & in transit)
  • Zero-trust principles
  • Secure data sharing mechanisms
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams on cloud security posture management. 

3. Data Vault & Data Modeling

  • Lead implementation of Data Vault 2.0 methodology (Hubs, Links, Satellites).
  • Translate business requirements into scalable logical and physical data models.
  • Design optimized dimensional models for reporting (star/snowflake schemas).
  • Establish modeling standards and review processes.

4. Data Exposure & Data Consumption Strategy

Architect scalable and governed data exposure mechanisms:

  • APIs
  • Data sharing frameworks
  • Semantic layersBI integrations
  • Define strategies for:
  • Data democratization
  • Controlled access
  • Metadata management
  • Data lineage and observability
  • Ensure performance optimization and SLA adherence for downstream consumers.

5. Governance & Quality

  • Embed data governance principles into architectural design.
  • Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Define metadata management and catalog strategies.

6. Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

  • Engage with business leaders to align architecture with enterprise strategy.
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide architectural oversight.
  • Work with vendors and system integrators to ensure design compliance

Basic Qualifications:

Core technical skills with min 12 + years of experience in:

  • Deep expertise in Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
  • Proven experience implementing Data Vault modeling in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data exposure strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
  • Strong experience in Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Hands-on expertise in Cloud Security architecture for data platforms.

Data Platform & Engineering with 12+ years of experience in:

  • Experience with Lakehouse architectures (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Strong SQL and distributed data processing knowledge.
  • Experience designing batch & streaming architectures.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools.

Preferred Skills:

Security & Governance

  • Data masking
  • Tokenization Encryption standards
  • IAM best practices
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Lakehouse architectures (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Strong SQL and distributed data processing knowledge.
  • Experience designing batch & streaming architectures.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools.

Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

  • Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Data Vault 2.0 Certification
  • TOGAF or equivalent
  • Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
