Your 'day to day':
As the Director, Data Services & Enablement, you own the strategy, delivery, and run of the enterprise data platform, and will lead the reliable, secure, and cost-effective operation of our enterprise data foundation-ensuring trusted, high-quality data is consistently available across the organization.
  • Own the operational health of the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), including ingestion, pipelines, orchestration, and platform services supporting analytics and data products.
  • Establish strong operational rhythms (monitoring, health checks, incident management, runbooks, and release coordination) and drive continuous improvement in reliability and MTTR.
  • Operationalize data quality, governance, and compliance practices in partnership with IT, Security, and Compliance teams.
  • Run transparent intake, prioritization, and execution processes for data operations requests, ensuring predictable and well-communicated delivery.
  • Optimize platform performance and cost, manage vendor and partner SLAs, and drive automation to improve throughput and reduce manual effort.
  • Define a 12-24 month roadmap for data services and data products aligned with enterprise priorities, regulatory commitments, and business P&L.
  • Own the end-to-end data platform on AWS (S3, IAM, networking, Lake Formation, Glue), Snowflake (warehouses, RBAC, sharing, governance), and Databricks (workspaces, Unity Catalog, jobs, MLflow). Drive the convergence of warehouse, lakehouse, and AI workloads on a single governed plane. Including leading Data Architecture for the enterprise.
  • Run the platform to enterprise-grade SLAs. Drive observability, incident management, FinOps, and continuous cost-to-serve reduction across Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Build, lead, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of platform engineers, analytics engineers, and data ops. Shape the operating model with Data Science, Technology, and the business.

Who we're looking for:
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Commutable distance to Tampa, FL.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or platform operations, with 5+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Proven experience running production-grade data environments with SLAs, incident and problem management, and operational controls.
  • Proficient design and implementation skills for development of real time data platform using Kafka and deep understanding of cloud data architectures on AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms, ELT/ETL orchestration, and data observability and monitoring patterns.
  • A demonstrable track record of running productized data services with SLAs in a regulated enterprise (financial services, healthcare, insurance, public sector, or similar).
  • Exposure to embedded analytics, customer-facing data products, or monetized data offerings with track record of FinOps maturity on Snowflake and Databricks at multi-million-dollar annual run-rates.
