Job description

Join this exciting, growing company as a member of the Track Operation Team. The primary goal and function of all track personnel is to maintain a safe and efficient racing operation while creating an exhilarating and memorable experience for racers. There are four roles on the track including Race Director, Controller, Pit Controller and Flagger. Track personnel must enjoy working with people, be outgoing, friendly and provide a world class guest experience.
The Racetrack Personnel's job duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Calling racers for line-ups and providing instruction
  • Communicating with front counter to run races as efficiently as possible
  • Able to lift/pull barriers to ensure track, barriers & pit walls are in proper shape to run races
  • Assign karts, call people to races, explain all rules and directions to customers
  • Provide safety briefings, assist with kart, head sock, helmet and neck belt fittings
  • Properly gap racers to pull out of pits, able to push karts and provide guidance for roll out
  • Track scanning for potential problems and hazardous races
  • Flagging races at start, during and closing
  • Plugging karts for re-charging, monitoring status of battery stations
  • Providing scoring sheets to customers to understand racing results and data
  • Running endurance races, racing clinics and special racing events
  • Up-selling endurance races, racing clinics, special racing events and kids camp
  • Keep the facility in great condition at all times abiding by opening and closing duties
    The Racetrack Personnel's job skills and specifications include:
  • Helpful, Friendly and Patient attitude and disposition
  • Excellent communication skills and a great team player
  • Able to multi-task and problem solve
  • Able to work 15 to 28 hours per week including weekends and holidays
  • Invested to do whatever it takes to help make RPM Raceway the best experience for every racer

Education and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. from accredited institution required
  • No physical limitations that would restrict lifting, pulling and moving barriers in racing area
  • College attendance working towards a degree is preferable with flexible hours available
  • Presentable, Punctual and Responsible
  • Prior Retail experience is mandatory
