About us:The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) is an international congregation of Catholic Sisters.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Advancement Operations Assistant supports the friend-raising, fundraising and donor stewardship activities by tracking gifts, creating acknowledgements, inputting information into Donor Perfect database and providing administrative support for the Advancement Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process Advancement office mail, including opening envelopes and preparing donations for data entry and deposit.

2. Generate appropriate acknowledgements and thank you letters. Proofread letters and reports created by other members of the Advancement team.

3. Prepare and mail cards for donors and recipients of Gift of Prayer requests.

4. Perform other administrative duties including scanning, copying, sorting, mailing, etc. Distribute letters to Sisters for signing as appropriate.

5. Support the implementation of SNJM-wide donor stewardship strategies including supporting the organization of Sisters to sign cards, answer questions from donors, and other appropriate stewardship tasks.

6. Support Advancement Department's day-to-day operations including fundraising campaigns, promotions and projects including hospitality support for Advancement meetings.

7. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish satisfactorily the essential duties and responsibilities listed. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or GED. Entry-level office experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be supportive of the mission of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation; able to read and write cursive.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally, diplomatically, and productively with colleagues and contacts at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite programs, including an ability to use Excel and Word.
  • Ability to learn and maintain office procedures and systems.
  • Ability to take initiative, be self-directed, and prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

HOURS:Temporary, Part-Time; 20 hours per week Monday-Friday.
PAY RATE: $25/hour
