Job description

As part of the Admission Operations Team, this position serves as the technical administrator for the Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The role configures, maintains, and optimizes Slate to support efficient admission and financial aid processes, data integrity, reporting, and an effective experience for prospective students and applicants. This position reports to the Senior Associate Dean of Admission Operations, and is under the division of the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid. This is not a remote position.

This is a full-time role with typical work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid lunch. 

The starting salary for this position is $66k-$70k. Pay offers are contingent upon experience and are determined through an internal pay assessment. This is an exempt position in grade 6.

What You'll Do

  • Configure and maintain Slate forms, portals, reader workflows, application components, queries, rules, and communications that support recruitment, application processing, event management, and enrollment operations.
  • Design, build, and support Slate-based solutions using configuration tools and supported technologies.
  • Manage and support the full application operations lifecycle, including application setup, data imports, processing workflows, integrity checks, deferrals, deposits, extension requests, and ongoing operational maintenance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain inbound and outbound data exchanges between Slate, Banner, third-party application systems, external vendors, and institutional data systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain integrations, import/export processes, transformation logic, validation rules, and system workflows that support efficient and reliable applicant data flow across systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, permissions, and compliance through regular audits, quality control processes, and proactive system monitoring.
  • Build and maintain queries, population selections, reports, and operational dashboards that support recruitment strategy, application review, historical analysis, and data-informed decision making
  • Partner with admissions, financial aid, and campus stakeholders to identify operational challenges, streamline workflows, improve processes, and implement scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Slate users, application processing issues, integrations, and system-related operational concerns
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and communications to identify issues, resolve errors, and support continuous system improvement and operational efficiency
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for workflows, configurations, integrations, business processes, and system dependencies to ensure operational continuity and cross-functional support
  • Provide flexible support for a wide range of logistical, clerical, and office coordination needs to ensure smooth daily operations and assist the Admission operations team as priorities evolve.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu
  • 3 years experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
