Description

We are seeking a Sr. Operations Analyst - Hybrid Remote at our downtown Cleveland, Ohio wealth management firm. This role supports the Operations team across complex functions, including account onboarding and setup, portfolio accounting and reporting systems maintenance, standardized reporting, transaction processing, and account and performance reconciliation. The position also serves as the lead for alternative assets reporting, partnering with internal teams and custodians to resolve exceptions and maintain accurate client and investment data across daily, monthly, and quarterly workflows.


This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial orientation period.


Position responsibilities: 

  • Lead key operational processes and execute complex work across daily, monthly, and quarterly workflows, with direct ownership of alternative assets reporting.
  • Perform account onboarding, setup, and maintenance across portfolio accounting and reporting systems, including asset setup, classification, and data configuration.
  • Maintain data integrity by monitoring feeds, ensuring timely updates, and resolving exceptions, with an emphasis on alternative investment data quality and completeness.
  • Process transactions, perform reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies with custodians, including complex alternative investment activity.
  • Monitor alternative investments, enter transactions, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Lead alternative investment data and reporting workflows in partnership with ARCH and the Alts Team to ensure accurate, timely deliverables; identify data gaps, perform quality reviews, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables, including alternative investment reporting, and support related aggregation, review, and distribution workflows.
  • Train and mentor Operations Analysts, document procedures, and support cross-coverage and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support daily production activities, account closings, and broader operational priorities while following established procedures and recommending improvements to efficiency and controls.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support the team.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services or wealth management operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems independently; strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple requests and priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and work well amongst cross-functional teams and external partners (including custodians).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of portfolio accounting and reporting systems, reconciliations, and alternative investment processing, with the ability to lead alternative assets reporting workflows; experience with Orion Advisor Technology preferred.
