We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support our ABMS DI Network Manager (DINM) program located in Orlando, FL. This role is part of a team supporting the Department of the Air Force’s Air Battle Management System and its associated infrastructure. The Senior Network Engineer will provide hands-on support for core network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, on-site assistance, and driving improvement through requirements and engineering expertise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Network Engineering support for the design, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and operation of an evolving network architecture.

  • Guide and support network deployments, including provisioning and process optimization.

  • Serve as the primary manager of the code base associated with deployments.

  • Mentor and provide cross-functional training to team members.

  • Manage SD-WAN architecture, including operational and security updates.

  • Lead planning and coordination of network system upgrades at CONUS and OCONUS field sites.

  • Coordinate with the C2NSOC DI-Network Manager Team Lead and chief engineer to manage issues and escalate as appropriate.

  • Deliver briefings and regular status updates to Program leadership on DI-Network activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related discipline with 12+ years of related experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.

  • US Citizen; Currently possessing an active DoD Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI clearance upon hire.

  • Experience mentoring technical staff on IPTs and cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence development of solutions supporting strategic program goals.

  • Knowledge of network engineering, network architecture, and network automation tools (Ansible, scripting, coding).

  • Experience configuring, activating, testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting network systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, collaboration abilities, and team-building experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with 10+ years related experience.

  • Prior experience supporting US Air Force or DoD programs.

  • SD-WAN expertise and/or relevant certifications (Juniper or Cisco).

  • Experience with Linux systems administration.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

  • Experience working/testing within commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and DevOps tools.

  • Experience with cybersecurity methodologies. 

  • Current and Active TS/SCI clearance.
