Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Ability to work onsite at the data center location and support 24x7 shift operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic understanding of data center environments, including racks, power, cooling, and cabling.
• Hands on attitude with willingness to perform physical and operational tasks as required.
• Strong adherence to processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Good documentation skills for logs, checklists, and shift handover notes.
• Strong communication skills for coordination with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to remain calm, attentive, and organized in operational or high priority situations.
• Reliable, detail oriented, and able to follow instructions accurately.
Roles & Responsibilities
• 24x7x365 IT Operations Center for Detroit manufacturing, corporate, and data center environments
• Data Center facilities monitoring (Power, UPS, HVAC, environmental alerts)
• L1 Application, Infrastructure Monitoring support for Applications, server, network, storage, backup, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Hands and feet support required for Detroit for facilities monitoring in the onsite Datacenters.
• Plant IT & OT/IT coordination with internal Team & third party vendors
• Support Incidents, Service Request, problem aligned with governance
• Compliance, audit readiness & documentation, including ITAR/EAR support
• Data Center facilities monitoring: Power, UPS, HVAC, environmental alerts.
• Maintain and monitor Physical access control, audit compliance, and offsite tape coordination.
• Coordination with Facilities, for physical security, equipment moves and third-party vendors.
• Support compliance, audit readiness & documentation.
• Perform onsite monitoring and operational checks of data center infrastructure and equipment.
• Respond to system alarms, infrastructure alerts, and facility notifications.
• Execute standard operating procedures for normal operations and incident situations.
• Perform physical tasks such as equipment inspections, cable checks, inventory verification, and escorting authorized personnel.
• Support incident resolution activities by following defined operational steps and escalating when required.
• Maintain logs, checklists, and operational records during each shift.
• Coordinat e with internal teams and vendors to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure data center safety, cleanliness, and compliance with operational standards.
• Participate in shift handovers, communicating status and outstanding actions clearly.
• Support scheduled activities such as maintenance windows, equipment upgrades, and audits.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
• Prior experience working in a data center, operations center, or technical facility.
• Familiarity with IT service management or ticketing systems.
