Your Role: Special Projects Associate, Sustainability Data Monitoring

This role supports the monitoring and verification of Elanco sustainability programs by conducting critical quality reviews of data submitted by dairy and beef producers. Using internal platforms and tracking tools, you will help validate emissions reductions and improvements in emissions intensity, ensuring the data shared with consumer-packaged goods (CPG) companies and processors is accurate, credible, and delivered on time.

This is anticipated to be a six-month project assignment, with the potential to extend up to nine months based on business needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Review each farm's submitted data for completeness and accuracy following the established Monitoring Plan.
  • Ensure all data entered the internal platform are substantiated by the attached documentation to enable accurate quantification of emissions.
  • Communicate any data gaps or errors clearly with the Operations Team and Bovaer Specialists.
  • Sign off on each farm's submitted data within 5 days of producer submission.
  • Manage a workload that is clustered monthly, primarily occurring between the 10th and 18th of each month.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Education: Completed or currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate degree program.
  • Experience: Demonstrated attention to detail in projects or coursework and the ability to think critically about data and presented information.
  • Top 2 Skills:
    • Ability to accurately and critically perform monitoring procedures, using basic computational skills in Excel to ensure data entered in internal platforms are substantiated and accurate.
    • Ability to communicate data gaps or errors effectively to the Operations Team, Bovaer Specialists, and other team members at the right time following established channels.

What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Strong motivation to work in the animal agriculture and sustainability field.
  • Familiarity with feed data and feed formulation is beneficial but not required.
  • Interest in animal agriculture sustainability and carbon accounting.

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $20 to $24/hour depending partly on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance).
