About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst, Payments Risk Analytics to support the Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) Analytics team. In this role, you will leverage data, analytics, and risk expertise to identify control gaps, improve payment risk monitoring, and provide insights that support business, risk, and audit stakeholders.
You will partner closely with product leaders, frontline risk teams, payment channel owners, and technology partners to analyze wire payment activity, develop reporting solutions, and enhance risk controls across payment initiation channels.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze wire payment data and payment initiation channels to identify risks, trends, and control opportunities.
  • Design and develop data pipelines, transformation processes, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Create and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Compare wire payment messages with initiation channel instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with risk, product, operations, and technology teams to investigate findings and drive resolution of complex issues.
  • Develop reporting and analytics solutions used by risk, control, audit, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, regulatory, and information security standards.
  • Lead discussions with subject matter experts and business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in business analytics, payments risk, data analytics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server, Hive, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data, including XML, delimited, and fixed-width files.
  • Experience building reporting, analytics, and data transformation solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience within wire payments, treasury services, wholesale banking, or payment operations.
